A grueling 4-day, 3-night, 108-kilometer Dunhuang Gobi hiking challenge has successfully concluded, with Sun Xianglong join the team “Sandbar Walkers” to complete the tough desert trek and claim the prestigious Iron Will Award.

The Gobi journey posed relentless extreme challenges. The team endured scorching sunlight, dry bitter winds, sharp day-night temperature swings and rugged sandy terrain. Loose gravel made every step strenuous, while persistent physical fatigue, muscle soreness and mental exhaustion constantly tested everyone’s limits amid the desolate, endless wilderness.

Facing harsh conditions, Sun Xianglong upheld firm determination and led the team with great solidarity. He encouraged exhausted members, shared difficulties and insisted on moving forward together. The trek fully proved that solid teamwork is the core strength to overcome extreme hardships, far more powerful than individual bravery.

With extraordinary perseverance and leadership, Sun Xianglong finally won the Iron Will Award in recognition of his indomitable spirit. After returning, he shared his authentic hiking experience with the whole team. He conveyed the spirit of perseverance, dedication and united struggle, inspiring all colleagues to confront work difficulties with grit and teamwork mindset.
